چکیده
Strong transparent multiwall carbon nanotube (t-CNT) sheets [M. Zhang, S. Fang, A.A. Zakhidov, S.B. Lee, A.E. Aliev, C.D. Williams, K.R. Atkinson, R.H. Baughman, Science 309 (2005) 1215] can be used as effective anodes in organic photovoltaic cells (OPV) [A.D. Pasquier, H.E. Unalan, A. Kanwal, S. Miller, M. Chhiwalla, Appl. Phys. Lett. 87 (2005) 203511]. We prove here that t-CNT plays an essential role as three-dimensional (3-D) hole-collecting network with extended interface connectivity to photoactive layer of bulk heterojunction OPV. Although, the sheet resistance of as-prepared t-CNT is higher than that of ITO, we demonstrate that combining 3-D t-CNT network with planar ITO leads to twice increased photocurrent. So even in unoptimized OPV, a short circuit current density of 11mA/cm is obtained, which is a significant increase, compared to only 5.5mA/cm of photocurrent in sole ITO device, and in sole t-CNT case, increasing the overall efficiency to 2%. This enhancement is due to a combined effect of an enhanced hole collection by 3D t-CNT and improved transport via planar ITO part. Flexible OPVs on plastic substrates also show enhanced performance with hybrid t-CNT–ITO anodes. Published by Elsevier B.V.

Transparent, highly percolated networks of regioregular poly(3-hexylthiophene) (rr-P3HT)-wrapped semiconducting single-walled carbon nanotubes (s-SWNTs) are deposited, and the charge transfer processes of these nanohybrids are studied using spectroscopic and electrical measurements. The data disclose hole doping of s-SWNTs by the polymer, challenging the prevalent electron-doping hypothesis. Th...

Organic solar cells are flexible and inexpensive, and expected to have a wide range of applications. Many transparent organic solar cells have been reported and their success hinges on full transparency and high power conversion efficiency. Recently, carbon nanotubes and graphene, which meet these criteria, have been used in transparent conductive electrodes. However, their use in top electrode...

In order to fabricate transparent TiO2 nanotube dye-sensitized solar cells, anodically growth nanotube membranes are detached from Ti substrate by a re-anodization method. The membranes are transferred on FTO glass by two different methods. At the first one, 100mM Ti-isopropoxide is used to make TiO2 nanoparticles for adhering TiO2 nanotube membranes to FTO and ...
متن کاملLaminated carbon nanotube networks for metal electrode-free efficient perovskite solar cells.
Organic-inorganic metal halide perovskite solar cells were fabricated by laminating films of a carbon nanotube (CNT) network onto a CH3NH3PbI3 substrate as a hole collector, bypassing the energy-consuming vacuum process of metal deposition. In the absence of an organic hole-transporting material and metal contact, CH3NH3PbI3 and CNTs formed a solar cell with an efficiency of up to 6.87%. The CH...
